The Plants That Feed the World: baseline data and metrics to inform strategies for the conservation and use of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture (pre-publication)
A pre-publication of the study, “The Plants That Feed the World: baseline data and metrics to inform strategies for the conservation and use of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture”, was made available to the Ninth Session of the Governing Body as information document IT/GB-9/22/16.2/Inf.1. The study presents a set of almost 100 crop indicator metrics, around 10 relevant vignettes on PGRFA and includes infographics to support accessibility of the information. The Secretariat of the International Treaty on Plant Generitc Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGRFA) has been working on the official publication of the study as well as on visibility products, including a dedicated webpage facilitating user-friendly access to the huge amount of data produced in the project, a podcast featuring the publication, and an FAO interactive story. All products will be finalized during the first half of 2023
