CLIMOLIVEMED

The ClimOliveMed project aims to better understand the biological, economic and social factors that can improve the resilience and sustainability of Mediterranean olive growing in the face of climate change and to open up new public spaces for better collaboration between stakeholders in the sector to design and manage adaptation strategies. The project proposes to examine three fundamental questions: - How can the diversity of olive varieties serve as a response to climate change? - How can the diversity of cropping systems and value chains support sustainable transitions in olive production in the Mediterranean? - How can the knowledge and genetic resources mobilised by the partners be shared and integrated within the project, but also at the territorial, national and international levels? Implementation period: from June 2021 to June 2025
