Adaptive governance for the coexistence of crop diversity management systems - COEX

CoEx was a multidisciplinary project bringing together stakeholders from the scientific world and civil society (smallholder organizations, NGOs) to study the seed system. The project objectives were: Understand the gap between regulations and laws on seeds and genetic resources, and the reality on the ground regarding the diversity of cultural practices and seed use in West Africa (Senegal, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger), Propose governance mechanisms that more effectively take into account the diversity of crop management practices and methods.
