GUIDE FOR THE RECOGNITION OF AGROBIODIVERSITY AREAS IN PERU
In order to promote the recognition of Agrobiodiversity Zones at the national level, and to provide information on the procedure for their recognition, INIA makes available the Guide for the Recognition of Agrobiodiversity Zones in Peru, through which we publicize in a didactic and easy-to-understand way, the requirements and steps to follow to achieve this recognition. Details on the conditions and documents necessary for the application are included. In addition, we describe the procedures for reviewing files, give a scope of what happens after recognition, and the criteria that keep such recognition in force. Through this document, we also invite peasant communities, indigenous populations, Regional and Local Governments, agricultural researchers and professionals, and the general public, to promote the recognition of Peruvian agrobiodiversity and the millenary culture associated with it.
