Looking for resilience

In this TEDx talk, Ali Nefzaoui, a senior consultant and principal scientist at ICARDA, highlights the potential of cactus as a “miracle plant” for the future, particularly in the context of climate change. Drawing on decades of experience in animal nutrition and agricultural research across Tunisia, Belgium, and North Africa, he discusses how cacti can contribute to sustainable livestock management and agricultural resilience. Nefzaoui is also a prolific researcher, with over 180 scientific publications and numerous contributions to international development networks.
