Conservation and Utilization of Agricultural Plant Genetic Resources in Nepal

Agricultural plant genetic resource (APGR) constitutes an important part of the biological diversity and is the basis for sustainable agriculture and livelihood of two-third of the population in Nepal. The objectives of this paper were to review status of national and international policy and incentive mechanisms and assess their likely impact on conservation and sustainable of use agricultural biodiversity in Nepal.
