European crop wild relative diversity assessment & conservation forum
The European Community Biodiversity Strategy acknowledges a critical loss of species and genetic biodiversity occurring in Europe at present. It states that conserving European biodiversity is seriously hampered by a lack of biodiversity data. The project will for the first time collect this vital ecogeographic data for the socio-economically important species native to Europe.
