Protocolo de Actuación Institucional Para la Realización de Investigaciones en Comunidades Indígenas Sobre Conocimientos Tradicionales

Description

This document contains the Protocol for the conduction of research in indigenous communities on traditional knowledge. This protocol has been developed in the framework of the project "Conservación y uso sostenible de los recursos fitogenéticos locales para la alimentación y la agricultura (RFAA) para contribuir a la seguridad alimentaria de los pequeños agricultores de Argentina supported in the 4th project cycle of the Benefit Sharing Fund (BSF) of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources (ITPGRFA). It is the collective work of the students who participated in a Traditional Knowledge Course related to the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture at the National University of the Northwest of the Province of Buenos Aires (UNNOBA). The document is mainly applicable to research carried out in indigenous communities, but may also be applied to local communities, who, despite not having the same legal status as indigenous communities, may also possess traditional knowledge. Ultimately, this action protocol aims to guide activities and interactions with indigenous communities to be carried out with respect to their rights and in accordance with current regulations.
